Your photography holiday experience will take you to a number of undiscovered locations in the local area, including the Galloway Forest Park. Capture some of the true beauties of Scotland under the guidance of professional, international award winning, natural history and wildlife photographer John Fairclough. While the aim of the holiday is to create the perfect shot, John will share some of the techniques he uses to create incredible and evocative images. Covering such topics as equipment technique, field craft, image composition and, time allowing, Adobe Photoshop demonstration techniques upon request.
John has over 20 years of photography experience and specialised in natural history and wildlife photography nine years ago. John's work has been awarded numerous accreditations and distinctions - winning international wildlife competitions that have taken him to the Falkland Islands via Chile. In addition to private commissions John's work is represented by some of the world’s finest stock agencies.
Each raptor weekend will have its own dedicated falconer, alongside stunning raptors. Each shot will be conducted in the bird’s natural habitat. Weather permitting, we may also be able to conduct some birds in flight sessions.
