Volunteers

Black Clauchrie is an ongoing project for Adrian and Caroline Goodall, who welcome volunteers looking to help with its restoration.

Volunteers can make a real contribution to the restoration of the estate while enjoying its tranquil location, far away from the stresses and strains of everyday life. They also have the special opportunity to experience Black Clauchrie as a home with the Goodall family or stay in one of the traditional estate cottages.

Volunteering at Black Clauchrie is the perfect holiday retreat with a difference.

Derek and Brian Williamson, both retired and from Derby, volunteered to lend a helping hand a Black Clauchrie in the Spring of 2009. They said:

“We heard about Black Clauchrie after seeing the estate on Country House Rescue and decided to offer our help in restoring this magnificent estate. As we are both retired, we had the time to offer our support - helping out with painting and odd jobs on the estate.

“We both loved our time at Black Clauchrie and enjoyed spending time with the Goodalls, who are a lovely family and took good care of us during our stay. It was particularly rewarding to help and we look forward to going back to Black Clauchrie and offering our help again in the near future.”
